No-5 Rivier College (7-0 GNAC; 20-1 overall) defeated Emerson
College to become the first 20 game winner in all of men's
volleyball. The Raiders, who posted a .487 hitting percentage
on the match, had little trouble with the Lions from start to
finish. Sophomore Chris Deluca led the
charge as he racked up 11 kills on just 16 attempts with only 1
error for a .625 average. The opposite hitter also tallied 5
assists, 4 digs, 2 blocks, and 2 service aces for a complete all
around game. Outside hitters Kyle
O'Neill and Andrew Paine scored 10 kills
apiece and combined for 12 digs while middle hitters Tajh
Stokes and Alex Xenidis put away 7 kills
each and combined for 5 blocks. Libero Chris
Convertito scooped up a team high 10 digs and utility
player Drew Corwin had a team high 22 assists and
4 ace serves.
