Rivier College, the 3rd ranked team in Division III volleyball, finished the regular season perfect in the GNAC after a 3-0 sweep over Mount Ida College.  The Raiders (12-0 GNAC; 28-1 overall) were led by freshman Andrew Paine with a team high 10 kills and 4 digs.  Sophomore Chris Deluca followed with 7 kills and 2 ace serves while freshman Jeffrey Matos pounded out 7 kills along with 2 blocks.  Steve Wood directed the offense with 28 assists while Chris Convertito led all defenders with 9 digs.  Freshman Alex Xenidis was efficient with 6 kills on 8 swings for a .750 hitting percentage.
 
Rivier, the top seed in the GNAC, will host the GNAC tournament on Saturday 3/28.  Rivier will play against Johnson & Wales University at noon in the first semi-final followed by Emmanuel College against Lasell College in semi-final #2  at 2:00pm.  The winners of both semi-final matches will face off at 4:00pm for the GNAC Championship.
