FERREIRA REACHES MAJOR MILESTONE
No-3 Rivier College (9-0 GNAC; 24-1 overall) defeated Lasell
College in three straight sets to remain undefeated in conference
play. The Raiders had help from everybody as 12 out of a
possible 13 attackers scored at least one kill in the match.
Junior Matt Ferreira lead the way with a solid 8
kills and 2 blocks helping RIV to win their 21st straight
match. On his second swing of the night, Ferreira became only
the 5th player in Raider history to record 1000 kills.
Sophomore Austin Soucy paced the offense with a
team high 12 kills while junior libero Kyle
O'Neill played great defense with a team high 14
digs. Setter Zach Hansen had another
outstanding night registering his umpteenth double double with 35
assists and 10 digs. Hansen also put in a team high 3
ace serves and helped out with 2 kills and 1 block. Senior
Scottie Wright was big at the net again with 4
blocks and sophomore Chris Deluca laced in 5 kills
on just 10 attempts.

The Raiders will take a break in their regular season schedule for
some fun in the sun in Puerto Rico. It won't be all sand and
sun though as the Raiders have two exhibition matches against the
Puerto Rico National Team. RIV's schedule is as follows:
Tuesday March 10th at 5:00pm at Coilseo Guillermo Angulo,
Carolina
Thursday March 12th at 5:00pm at Coliseo Mario Jimenez, Guaynabo
