The Rivier College Men's Lacrosse team was defeated by
Emerson College Saturday afternoon on a brisk, sunny day on The
Field at Rotch Playground in downtown Boston, MA.
The Raiders were anchored once again by the tremendous defensive
efforts of Matt Nims (JR., Ware, NH) – 3
gb's and 4 caused turnovers, Cody Roberts
(FR., Langdon, NH) – 2 gb's, 4 caused turnovers,
Sean Figner (JR., Whitman, MA) – 1 caused
turnover, and Freshman goalkeeper Matt Besaw (Glens
Falls, NY) -9 saves. After surrendering 9 first half
goals, the Raiders clamped down allowing on 3 second half tallies
by the sharpshooting Lions.
Offensively, Ian Repucci (FR. Hull, MA) was
impressive at the Face-Off X going 5-9 while
Randy Perrine (FR. Merrimack, NH) led the team
with 4 ground balls at the midfield.
The Raiders welcome the Monks of St. Joseph's College (ME)
to campus Tuesday, April 13th for a 6pm contest.
