(Boston, MA) Suffolk University's Gabrielle Balestrier recored points on all three goals as the Rams defeated Rivier College 3-0 despite drizzling conditions tonight.
Balestrier teammed up with Leslie Hayden on Lauren Cameron's goal just 4:42 into the contest. The score would remain 1-0 in favor of the home team through out the rest of the first half.
In the second half, Balestrier scored her first goal of the season at 61:37 with the assist being credited to Hayden. At the 72 minute mark Balestrier lifted a corner kick that fell onto the foot of Meghan McHale who made it a 3-0 final.
Sophomore Christine Surber (Langdon, NH) recorded nine saves in the loss.
Rivier will have just a day off before they travel up to Northfield, Vermont for a battle with Norwich University on Saturday afternoon.
