(Northfield, VT) Norwich University received two goals in the second half as they took home a tough fought conference victory against visiting Rivier College, 2-0 this afternoon.

The pair of goals came just five minutes apart. Baylie Lamarre netted her 8th of the season as her free kick from 40 yards out found the back of the net. Grace Fitzpatrick one-timed a pass from Alex Frank just two minutes later to give the Cadets a two goal advantage.

Sophomore goalkeeper Christine Surber (Langdon, NH) played well in net as she stopped six of the eight shots she faced.

Rivier will look to end the season with a victory as they host GNAC opponent Pine Manor College in a 7pm kickoff on Monday night.
