CHICOPEE, MA: The Rivier men's basketball team picked up their fifth conference win this afternoon against GNAC newcomer Elms College.
THE BASICS:

- Score: Rivier 81, Elms 67
- Records: Rivier (9-12, 5-9 GNAC), Elms (2-18, 2-13 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Blazers would take a five-point lead early on in the first half, but that wouldn't last long with Joseph Buford (Charleston, SC) and Nikolas Pignone (Stoneham, MA) both going off for 12 points each in the first half. Roy Mckeithen did his best to keep the contest close, going into half-time for Elms with 13 points. Rivier would take a six-point lead into the locker room at 37-31.
- The Second half saw Mile Gillette (Washington, DC) and Nesta Roberts (Manchester, CT) continue the Raiders offense. Gillette would score 11 points, while Roberts put up 10 points and four rebounds. The second half would see Rivier's largest lead of 18 points with just a minute and 24 seconds to go.
- Mckeithen would have the team high again with nine points.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Buford ended today's game with 18 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
- Pignone also had 18 points and two assists.
- Mckeithen had the game high with 22 points.
