NASHUA, NH: The Rivier women's hockey fell just short to Salve Regina this evening at Conway Arena.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Raiders got on the board first in the second period on a flicked shot from the blue line that found its way through the Seahawk tender's legs into the net. Ellie Grady (Kingston, MA) capitalized on a turnover and got a favorable bounce to give the home team a 1-0 lead.
- That lead wouldn't last, however. Salve got a power play goal 16:17 into the third period to tie the game up at one. Samantha McKenzie would be credited with the goal after receiving two quick passes from Riley Esposito and Tori Amaral. Thirty-six seconds later, Grace Schwartz would net the game-winner on a wrist shot just outside the left circle.
- Rachel Hinkley (Swedesboro, NJ) suffered the loss, falling to 2-4-2 on the season. Sydney Baxter came in the third period and saved all five shots she faced to hold off the Raiders to improve to 2-4.
