LOWELL, MA: Rivier women's ice hockey lost to Salem State University this evening at Janas Memorial Skating Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first period, the Vikings scored first with an unassisted goal from Caroline Barrett. Raiders' Brianna Parent (Saint Albans, VT) answered back about 10 minutes later, breaking away from Salem State's defenders and going top shelf.
- Catherine Lawerence capitalized on the power play in the second frame with assists credited to Tea Miles and Kenra Currier, to put the Vikings ahead.
- Salem State was able to secure their lead in the third period with a goal from Currier.
- Rachel Hinkley (Swedesboro, NJ) saved 38 shots for the Raiders tonight. Hannah Aveni had 17 saves for the Vikings, taking the win.
