NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier men's soccer team closed out non-conference play with a 1-1 draw with Emerson on Wednesday evening at Joanne Merrill Field.
With the result, the Raiders moved to 2-4-6, while the Lions moved to 3-4-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders got on the board early as a result of an own goal by the Emerson
- Rivier closed out the half with steady defensive play, as first-year Lucas Sades saved four shots to protect the 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
- Emerson found the equalizer in the 68th minute.
- Mitchell Ward had a late opportunity to put the Raiders ahead, but was unable to convert.
BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
- Sades recorded eight saves.
- Emerson held the advantage on corner kick opportunities, 5-3.
- The Lions outshot the Raiders, 17-3.
