NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier women's basketball team fell to the visiting Brandeis Judges, 64-39, in a non-conference match up Tuesday evening at the Muldoon Center.
With the loss, the Raiders dropped to 0-4 on the season, while Brandeis improved to 5-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brandeis opened the game with two quick buckets building a double-digit lead.
- Sophomore Gianna Donato put Rivier on the board with a layup, but the Judges continued build off their early lead and closed out the first quarter ahead 20-5.
- The Raiders settled in during the second quarter, with sophomore Sydney Perry laying in the first score of the quarter
- Brandeis continued to find ways to score through the midway point of the frame, extending their lead to 17
- Donato knocked down a three to conclude the first half scoring, however the Judges took a 39-18 lead into the half.
- The Raiders delivered their best defensive stretch in the third quarter, holding Brandeis to just nine points.
- Junior Haley Phillips led the team in third quarter scoring with five points coming by way of a three and a layup.
- Brandeis once more regained offensive controll in the fourth quarter, outscoring Rivier 16-10 to seal the contest 64-39

- Phillips led the Raiders with 10 points, adding three rebounds.
- Donato and sophomore Hannah Smith followed with eight points each.
- Perry recorded a team-high eight rebounds, followed by seven from Smith.
