NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier men's soccer team defeated Albertus Magnus College, 2-0, in a rematch of the 2024 GNAC Quarterfinal matchup on Alumni Reunion Weekend. 

With the victory, the Raiders improved to 2-4-3 (2-2-1 GNAC), while the Falcons fell to 5-3-1 (2-1 GNAC). 

The win marks the program's first over Albertus Magnus in nine years. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• The opening stretch was an evenly matched battle.   

• First-year Tanner Keenan buried his first collegiate goal in the top right corner, off a feed from graduate student Drew Sacca to put Rivier up 1-0 going into the half.  

• The second half mirrored the first, with back-and-forth play in the midfield 

• Sophomore Alejandro Quezada capitalized on a deflection, tucking the ball past the left post with two minutes left and a man down to seal the 2-0 win over the Falcons.  

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN 

• The Falcons held the slight edge on shots, 12-9. 

• Albertus Magnus held the advantage in corners, 9-4.  

• Senior Logan Clough and first-year Lucas Sades combined for the shutout victory.

The Raiders continue their homestand on Wednesday, October 1, with a non-conference matchup against Keene St. on Youth Sports Night. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
