NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier men's soccer team dropped its Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opener on Saturday afternoon, falling 3–0 to St. Joseph's College (ME) at Joanne Merrill Field. 

With that result, the Raiders fell to 0-1-2 (0-1-0 GNAC), while the Monks improved to 1-2-0 (1-0-0 GNAC).  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Both squads played a scoreless first half with each team recording seven shots. 

• Due to the weather in the area, play was suspended on Saturday. Sept. 6 and was set to resume the following day. 

• When play resumed, both teams were deadlocked through 73 minutes of play.

• The Monks broke through in the 74th minute and added two more goals over an 11-minute span.

BOXSCORE BREAKDOWN 

• Sophomore Kamar Matthew-Murray led the team with three shots.

• Junior Logan Clough logged one save.

• Shots were even at 12 apiece. 

• Rivier held a 3–1 edge in corner kicks. 

UP NEXT 

The Raiders return to action for a non-conference matchup against the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM at Joanne Merrill Field.
