BOSTON, Mass. – The Rivier baseball team defeated Suffolk, 12-11, on Tuesday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park.
With the win, the Raiders improved to 3-6, while the Rams fell to 0-8.

Rivier responded in the top of the third inning, scoring five runs. First-year Austin Suchecki got things started, scoring on a wild pitch to tie the game. Senior Owen Medlock brought home first-year Ian McDonald with a triple to right-center field. With one out in the third, senior Dylan Aliberti recorded an RBI single to the third baseman, scoring classmate Nathan Innerfield. Sophomore Brady Balint singled down the left field line, giving the Raiders a 5-1 edge.

Senior Ty Baker closed out the ninth, recording a strikeout and a putout at first. With two outs, the Rams pushed across a run on a fielder's choice, before Medlock secured the 12-11 victory with a flyout in center field.
