Fraser Joins Sports Medicine Staff as Certified Athletic Trainer

NASHUA, N.H. – Rivier University's Director of Sports Medicine, Rick Rowsell, has announced the addition of Natalie Fraser as the department's newest Certified Athletic Trainer.

Fraser joins a sports medicine staff that includes Rowsell, Beckie Brannen, and Caitlin Victor ahead of the 2026-27 academic year. She will work alongside the staff to provide medical coverage and care for all 13 varsity programs.

"We're excited to welcome Nat to the Rivier Sports Medicine team!" said Rowsell. "Her passion, knowledge, and energy will be a great asset not only to our staff, but our student-athletes and the department as a whole."

Most recently, Fraser completed a clinical placement with Watford F.C. in Watford, England, where she worked alongside the club's medical and performance staff, providing care, treatment, and rehabilitation services for the professional men's soccer team.

Prior to her experience overseas, Fraser earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University at Buffalo in May. During her graduate studies, she gained clinical experience with the university's NCAA Division I women's soccer program, assisting with return-to-play protocols and rehabilitation techniques designed to enhance recovery and performance. She also worked with the football program at Buffalo State University, where she focused on ACL reconstruction recovery and individualized rehabilitation plans. Fraser further expanded her clinical experience through placements at Kenmore West High School, Excelsior Orthopaedics, UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, and IMPACT Sports Performance.

"I'm excited to join the Rivier community and look forward to supporting student-athletes as they succeed on and off the field," said Fraser.

Fraser earned a Bachelor of Health Science with a minor in Nutrition from the University of New Hampshire in 2024. A former student-athlete, she served as captain of the Wildcats' track and field team.
