WINTHROP, Mass. – Seniors
Callie Nanos and
Ali Rivera of the Rivier women's volleyball team have been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Second-Team, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Nanos closed out her four-year career with her strongest season yet, appearing in all 30 matches and 105 sets. She posted career highs across the board, including 191 kills, 1.82 kills per set, a .202 hitting percentage, 61 blocks, 27 service aces, and 257 total points. The Lebanon, Conn., native led the Raiders in hitting percentage, while finishing second in kills, points, and blocks.
Rivera wrapped up her collegiate career with an outstanding senior campaign, playing 88 sets across 25 starts. She recorded a team-best 220 kills and averaged 2.50 kills per set with a .140 hitting percentage. Defensively, the Lowell, Mass., native tallied 249 digs (2.83 per set) and handled 423 receptions with a .927 reception percentage, while also contributing 30 blocks. This marks Rivera's fourth career All-Conference honor, adding to previous All-Rookie and two Third-Team selections.
