WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior standouts Sarah Lachance and Cassie Hemmerdinger have been named to the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Lacrosse All-Conference First Team, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
The pair helped lead the Raiders to a 7-4 record in GNAC play, marking the best conference finish in program history.
Lachance capped off a historic career with a stellar season, tallying 46 goals, 32 assists, 78 draw controls, 46 ground balls, and 21 caused turnovers. Lachance ranked third in the GNAC in both assists and total points, was 11th in goals, and seventh in draw controls. Nationally, she finished 32nd in NCAA Division III in points per game (5.57). She was also named GNAC Player of the Week once this season. Lachance departs as Rivier's all-time leader in goals (212), assists (107), and total points (319).
Hemmerdinger earned First Team GNAC honors after a dominant two-way season where she recorded 10 goals, 17 assists, 41 draw controls, 48 ground balls, and 39 caused turnovers. Her impact defensively was recognized both in the conference and nationally as she ranked ninth in the GNAC in caused turnovers and 14th in ground balls, while placing 17th in NCAA Division III in caused turnovers per game (2.79).
