WINTHROP, Mass. - First-year defender Mouad Yzzogh has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week after an impressive performance last week in which he recorded five points on two goals and one assist, the conference announced Tuesday.

Yzzogh scored twice in Rivier's 4-1 victory over Norwich on Wednesday, including the first goal of his collegiate career.

The Hooksett, N.H., native also notched an assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over Dean, helping the Raiders secure their second GNAC victory of the week.

Yzzogh and the Rivier men's soccer team return to action this afternoon, Oct. 13th, as they travel to New London, N.H. to take on Colby-Sawyer in another GNAC matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Sally Shaw Veitch Track & Field.
