WINTHROP, Mass. – Rivier women's soccer first-year midfielder, Kelly Callahan has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Callahan registered 43 minutes in Thursday's 7-1 victory over non-conference opponent Nichols. The Lancaster, N.Y. native showcased her offensive skills against the Bison, scoring twice, including her first collegiate goal. Her first goal came in the 28th minute before she found the back of the net again in the 71st minute of the match.

Callahan and the Raiders return to the field this afternoon, Monday, Sept. 28 for a GNAC matchup with Dean. The game is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. at Longley Athletic Complex in Franklin, Mass.
